About Kelly Hudson

Focusing on the way I wanted energy to flow and be exchanged in my life made everything turn around in the span of two years.

I’ve been a video editor, an actor, a writer, a filmmaker, and a podcaster. At one time, I was fully immersed in the world of improv and sketch comedy. But in the midst of these careers and the birth of my first child, I started to feel a lack. I was seemingly always giving without the balance of receiving. Around the same time, I realized that there was a through-line in my life all along: a yearning to make others feel safe, heard, seen, and energized. These two epiphanies started my transformation.

Guided by my own energy healer, Maxine Dillon, I decided to expand my capacity as a healer in early 2022 and went on to study with Laura Fine and Kimberly Ward of Somagetics (fomerly Lionheart Institute of Transpersonal Energy Healing) while pregnant with my second child. I have since found that balance of energetic give-and-take not only in this work, but in my life as a whole. Hot Spring Healing was born and I am thrilled to have the time and space to expand my clientele.

My interests and foci include: ADHD, sexuality, gender identity, pre- and postpartum, relationships, open relationships, childhood trauma, and psychoactive drug therapy. I plan to study intimacy coordination in the coming year.

Why “Hot Spring?”

Is there anything more hopeful than a spring?

I spent my childhood in central Texas swimming in the spring-fed pools and rivers that dot the region. On my visits back home, I still commune with the land in that way and always leave the chilly water feeling cleansed and somehow more alive.

In college, I visited my first hot spring in Oregon. Tucked away in a lush rainforest exploding with life, the pools were populated by naked people of all ages. I still remember that feeling of freedom as I waded in and I finally understood the feeling of community and healing that come with these natural formations.

This is the feeling I hope to provide in my practice. Renewal, healing, and a sense of peace and acceptance within.
